Morganton, NC, is looking for a creative, team-oriented, enthusiastic, passionate, and progressive leader with sound management practices to manage all operations of the City of Morganton’s Municipal Auditorium (CoMMA). The Director is responsible for a $1million budget; planning, organizing, scheduling, negotiating contracts, and promoting the season’s programs and events (both large and small); marketing and scheduling other business, cultural, and entertainment events to ensure facility utilization and generate revenue; and maintenance of the facility. The Director is an employee of the City and reports to the City Manager. Supervises 4 full time and 1 three/quarter time staff and coordinates volunteers. BA in Business Admin, Theater Management or a related degree with minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related field (event planning, theater management, performing arts administration, and/or auditorium management).
