North Carolina Arts Council 2015-2019 Strategic Arts Plan

For nearly 50 years, the North Carolina Arts Council has invested in artists and arts organizations to create an enviable arts infrastructure that reaches every corner of our state. We know that you believe, as we do, that the arts make North Carolina a great state to live and work. Our strategic plan reflects that belief and seeks to shape the future of the arts for the next four years – 2015 to 2019.

This plan was developed with the help of citizens, arts professionals, and key stakeholders across the state. Through public meetings, focus groups, and an online survey, more than 500 voices contributed to the creation of this plan.

You can view a brief summary of the plan below. To review the full plan, click here.
