Wild and Tamed Art Competition

Blue Koi Gallery invites you to explore the Wild and Tamed Art theme! Open to all mediums and styles—traditional art, mixed media, digital art, sculpture, and photography—this competition invites you to interpret the duality of nature, where the untamed and the domesticated coexist. Show your unique perspective on the balance between wildness and order through your art! Up to $500 in Cash, prizes, & promotions.

The America 250 NC Initiative within the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources is seeking qualifications from professional illustrators or artists from across North Carolina to design and create an original work of art to be reproduced as a poster and disseminated in classrooms across North Carolina.

One piece will depict numerous historical figures as “Revolutionary North Carolinians” that span across our history from the American Revolution to today. These figures will be selected by the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources. The other piece will be an original work by the selected artist with the theme, “What freedom means to me,” as related to the America 250 NC commemoration, to help connect enduring social themes from this nation’s founding to modern North Carolinians.

Ten Moir Gallery invites artists and photographers to explore the theme "Behind the Mask"—delving into hidden truths, layered identities, and untold stories through their creative lens. This online exhibition challenges participants to uncover the unseen, celebrate vulnerability, and reveal what lies beyond the surface.Best in Show winner will receive:

GreenHill Call To Artists: CONSTANT/CHANGE

Description
GreenHill is looking for eight outstanding emerging artists from North Carolina for the exhibition Constant/Change (July 26 – September 8, 2019). This exhibition will celebrate the wide-range of artistic pursuits and formal excellence of North Carolina artists, with each of the final eight artists having over 500 square feet to showcase their work.

Open to vocalists ages 13 through 18, as of April 1, 2025.

REPERTOIRE REQUIREMENTS:

Two (2) aria/song selections. Languages other than English are not required, but encouraged. Classical music is preferred, but musical theatre selections are allowed. Pop music is not acceptable and will result in disqualification. Solo selections only. Duets and ensembles are not accepted.

AUDITION PROCEDURE:

Each contestant must upload a VIDEO recording of the two musical selections on YouTube (other sites, such as Vimeo, are also acceptable). Selections must be performed live and include accompaniment. Recorded accompaniment is acceptable

First Prize: $600.00, Second Prize: $250.00, Third Prize: $150.00

The Piedmont Triad Airport Authority (PTAA) is now opening the 2025 search for artists with a call for two-dimensional paintings, photographs, mixed media, small three-dimensional sculptures, and large outdoor sculptures. This request is open to all artists in the State of North Carolina.

Outdoor Sculpture - $2000 for delivery and pick up and $100 per artist for 2D and 3D work.

Witness Me is the 4th annual Thunderdomesticity exhibition, and it will feature artwork that is post-apocalyptic, feminist, and everything in between. All artists from the United States, regardless of gender, are invited to submit one or two high quality photographs of their art before the deadline of April 4, 2025.

Fees or awards
There is no entry fee to submit artwork, but artists will pay a $30 printing fee for each accepted image.
