    The Department of Natural and Cultural Resources awards grants to individuals and organizations to foster historical, cultural, recreational, and environmental pursuits.
  • Local Arts Councils
    Check with your local arts council for regional artist opportunities and grants. 

  • ARTS North Carolina
    Publicizes job and internship opportunities through its membership listserv. Arts North Carolina will not post job listings that do not provide a salary range or that request candidates provide a salary history. Members may submit unlimited listings at no charge. Non-members pay $100 per listing.
  • Jobs in North Carolina Government
    Jobs openings are listed for all agencies within the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, including the N.C. Arts Council.

  • Americans for the Arts
    A service for both job seekers and arts employers. Job seekers can post their resumes and use the searchable database of nonprofit and for-profit arts management positions at organizations across the United States. For a moderate fee, employers can post a job opening and use the searchable database of online resumes to find qualified professional candidates.
  • New York Foundation for the Arts
    Job seekers can access listings for free and arts organizations are charged a moderate fee to post a job opening or artist opportunity.

Performing Arts 2025 Emerging Choreographers Showcase Application

Apply to have your choreography featured in the NC Rhythm Tap Festival's Emerging Choreographers Showcase on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 7pm. The goal of this showcase is to encourage our students to create their own choreography to be shared, and receive feedback from our esteemed faculty panel. Alternatively, applicants can set a piece of choreography on another individual/small group. The choreographer must be present at the showcase in order to receive feedback.

All levels may apply. If chosen, there is a $50.00 Emerging Choreographers Showcase participation fee.

Public Art RFQ: Boston-Thurmond Asphalt Mural Project

The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Public Art Commission and Boston-Thurmond Community Network are issuing a Request for Qualifications for an artist or artist team to design and install asphalt murals in up to three locations throughout the Boston-Thurmond neighborhood. The sites identified for this project are near schools and on major throughways in the neighborhood. With each asphalt mural, the committee hopes to slow down drivers and bring awareness to the school zones.

Grants & Fellowships The Hopper Prize

The Hopper Prize is accepting submissions for $3,500 and $1,000 artist grants. They will be providing 6 grants totaling $11,000 USD. 2 artists will each receive $3,500 and 4 artists will each receive $1,000. All media is eligible. Additional exposure is available via a 30 artist shortlist, online journal, & Instagram currently reaching over 145k.

Residencies Sawtooth 2025-2026 Artist-in-Residence Programs in Ceramics, Printmaking, and Woodworking

For 80 years, Sawtooth has been a creative hub for the central NC region, fostering an energetic craft school environment in downtown Winston-Salem, NC. Our year-long Artist-in-Residence programs encourage the development of new skills, connections, and bodies of work while assisting with operations. Residencies in ceramics, printmaking, and woodworking offer 24/7 access to studio space, material stipends, and the chance to gain valuable teaching experience, among other opportunities.

Multidisciplinary Critical Special Issue: Myanmar - Ecology, History, Culture, and Politics

In this critical special issue, we intend to explore the ecology, culture, history, and politics of Myanmar for the purpose of contextualization of the critical special issue within the place of Myanmar, taking an “expanded time horizons” systems wisdom approach to this research.

We are seeking fiction, nonfiction, photography, visual art, documentary film, fiction film, animation, recorded work (audio only), and expansive creative works implementing multiple media types.

Residencies Arquetopia Foundation

Arquetopia Foundation is excited to invite you to Power and the Colors of the Americas: Natural Pigments Instructional Program, a three-week immersive experience in Oaxaca, Mexico, or Cusco, Peru. Designed for emerging and mid-career artists, designers, and photographers, this program provides hands-on training in traditional dyeing techniques while critically engaging with the historical, social, and ethical dimensions of natural pigments.

Visual Art Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County

The Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County seeks emerging or established Curators for its Main 
Gallery Exhibition Space located at 301 Hay Street in Downtown Fayetteville. Curators will work in 
partnership with our staff to create their vision for one of the Main Gallery's Cultural Exhibitions in FY25.


Applicants should be engaged in connecting their communities, embracing diversity, promoting 
individual creativity, advancing economic development, and fostering lifelong learning through the arts. 
Applicants in Cumberland County are particularly encouraged to apply. 

We also invite new proposals for exhibition content in FY25. Curators and artists are encouraged to 
submit their exhibition outlines for consideration. We welcome creative and innovative ideas that align

Visual Art Yadkin Arts Council 2025 Juried Exhibition

The Yadkin Arts Council celebrates their 14th annual Juried Exhibition. This exhibition, to be featured collectively in the Welborn Gallery and Red Wall Gallery, is a celebration of some of the finest creativity in North Carolina. Eligibility for entry is open to 2D and 3D Fine Art artists that are a minimum of 18 years of age and reside in North Carolina. There will be $3,500 in combined prizes awarded to the best artists!
