    The Department of Natural and Cultural Resources awards grants to individuals and organizations to foster historical, cultural, recreational, and environmental pursuits.
  • Local Arts Councils
    Check with your local arts council for regional artist opportunities and grants. 

  • ARTS North Carolina
    Publicizes job and internship opportunities through its membership listserv. Arts North Carolina will not post job listings that do not provide a salary range or that request candidates provide a salary history. Members may submit unlimited listings at no charge. Non-members pay $100 per listing.
  • Jobs in North Carolina Government
    Jobs openings are listed for all agencies within the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, including the N.C. Arts Council.

  • Americans for the Arts
    A service for both job seekers and arts employers. Job seekers can post their resumes and use the searchable database of nonprofit and for-profit arts management positions at organizations across the United States. For a moderate fee, employers can post a job opening and use the searchable database of online resumes to find qualified professional candidates.
  • New York Foundation for the Arts
    Job seekers can access listings for free and arts organizations are charged a moderate fee to post a job opening or artist opportunity.

Grants & Fellowships Cultural Sustainability

South Arts, in partnership with the Wallace Foundation, is excited to announce the Cultural Sustainability initiative, providing operating support and collaborative learning for arts organizations rooted in communities of color with annual expenses under $500,000.

This program aims to uplift underrepresented voices in the arts and promote equity and inclusion.

Multidisciplinary, Stores, Sales & Shows Artsplosure

Artsplosure's Raleigh Arts Festival is one of the most original and longest running arts festivals in North Carolina. Held annually on the third weekend of May in beautiful downtown Raleigh, the festival is a 2 day event and features an Art Market comprised of approximately 175 juried visual artists from across the United States showcasing works in ceramics, glass, fiber art, jewelry, metal, painting, photography, wood and more. The festival presents national and regional entertainment on two stages, provides arts-based activities for children, and presents large-scale temporary art installations each year. Annual festival attendance averages 85,000+.

$35 application fee; festival is May 17-18, 2025

Visual Art Wayne Art Center

Wayne Art Center invites national artists 18 years+ to submit a maximum of four plein air samples. Thirty-two artists will be chosen by Juror Larry Moore to compete in a week-long festival (May 5-10, 2025) capturing the scenic Delaware Valley culminating in a Preview Party on May 10, 2025 where over $25,000 in cash and industry prizes will be awarded. $50 entry fee. Deadline: February 20, 2025.

Professional Development Story Parlor-Summer Intensive

Story Parlor and Inward & Artward present: an interactive 18-week program on how to create and facilitate unique offerings rooted in the intersection of the creative process, personal stories, and the human condition. Tailored for folks interested in starting a new and fulfilling career path, or simply wanting to deepen and/or refresh their approach to holistic creative facilitation.

This is an experiential, interactive training designed to equip folks with the tools to create inspiring content, shepherd artists through their unique and collective journeys, and cultivate a dynamic creative community. Along with developing creativity-based facilitation strategies and tools, participants will tend to their individual creative practices, as well as building self awareness, personal presence, and confidence with delivering content to groups.

Completion will include a certification badge, opportunities to participate and teach within the Story Parlor community, and ongoing support through the Inward & Artward Creative Facilitator Collective.

Multidisciplinary Critical Special Issue: Myanmar - Ecology, History, Culture, and Politics

In this critical special issue, we intend to explore the ecology, culture, history, and politics of Myanmar for the purpose of contextualization of the critical special issue within the place of Myanmar, taking an “expanded time horizons” systems wisdom approach to this research.

We are seeking fiction, nonfiction, photography, visual art, documentary film, fiction film, animation, recorded work (audio only), and expansive creative works implementing multiple media types.

Visual Art Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County

The Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County seeks emerging or established Curators for its Main 
Gallery Exhibition Space located at 301 Hay Street in Downtown Fayetteville. Curators will work in 
partnership with our staff to create their vision for one of the Main Gallery's Cultural Exhibitions in FY25.


Applicants should be engaged in connecting their communities, embracing diversity, promoting 
individual creativity, advancing economic development, and fostering lifelong learning through the arts. 
Applicants in Cumberland County are particularly encouraged to apply. 

We also invite new proposals for exhibition content in FY25. Curators and artists are encouraged to 
submit their exhibition outlines for consideration. We welcome creative and innovative ideas that align

Literary Arts Anthology Short Story Competition 2025

Established to recognise and encourage creative writing and provide a platform for publication, the Anthology Short Story Competition is open to original and previously unpublished short stories in the English language by a writer of any nationality, living anywhere in the world. There is no restriction on theme or style. Stories submitted must not exceed the maximum of 1,500 words.

We invite you to participate in our upcoming Animal themed art show, where you can share your unique vision and creativity with a global audience. The International Animals Art Exhibition explores the beauty of all animals. All 2D and 3D visual art is welcome (Painting, Mixed Media, Photography, Digital, and Sculpture). Competition is open to artists worldwide, all backgrounds, skill level, or style. Applicants must be 18 years or older.
