Technical assistance is advice, expertise, instruction and training provided by knowledgeable and experienced specialists to nonprofit arts organizations in North Carolina. The goal of North Carolina Arts Council's technical assistance offerings is to strengthen the arts sector so that it can respond effectively to the needs of our state’s residents and their communities

Technical assistance offerings include:

Accessibility 101
Developed and taught by Arts Access, Accessibility 101 is an overview of the Americans with Disabilities Act and strategies for arts groups to be inclusive of people with disabilities in their programming. A+ Schools Teacher Training
A+ Schools of North Carolina offers high-quality professional development that supports the use of arts integration in the classroom through an annual summer institute and customized professional development. Contact Tom Nevels for more information. 

Organizational Development
Funds are available to arts organizations to hire consultants to strengthen management and programs, sponsor workshops or conferences, or engage in community cultural planning through this program.

Military Culture Workshops
Developed and taught by the USO of North Carolina, workshops are available to arts organizations that wish to better understand and serve military-connected audiences. Contact Erin Rembert for information about hosting a workshop in your community.
